Feline Friends always has a large number of cats and kittens looking for loving and permanent homes. If you are thinking of getting a cat or kitten, please consider adopting from Feline Friends before buying from a pet shop or notice board.
All the cats and kittens in our care are health checked; the kittens would have normally received their first vaccination and the adults their full vaccinations. In addition to this, the adult cats have been sterilised, as Feline Friends does not advocate unauthorized breeding.
The process of adoption is very simple and painless, our main aim is to ensure you will make a caring owner and to pair up the right cat or kitten with the right owner.
We are able to do this because the majority of our felines have been fostered in homes where we are able to assess their individual characteristics and personalities, ensuring that you know exactly what you are adopting.
In addition to local cats, we have a number of cats and kittens of particular breeds that have either been abandoned or handed over by their owners for various reasons.
If you feel you can offer a home to a Feline Friends animal please contact us by email or via the helpline, our homing coordinator will then be in touch with you as soon as possible.
She will ask you a series of questions, which relate to what type of cat you are after and your suitability as a potential owner. You also have the opportunity to ask any questions that you may have.
Once you and Feline Friends are satisfied you will be given contact details of some of our fosterers that have cats or kittens that are most probably suitable, you then liaise with them to visit and see the feline in a home environment. If you hit it off you could be on your way home with that new four-legged addition to your family.
Alternatively, we hold open days at least once a month in various veterinary clinics in Dubai. At these events, we normally have up to 35 cats of various types, sizes, ages and sex looking for permanent homes.
At the open days the procedure for adoption is much the same; following the question and answer stage you will be shown the cats and hopefully be paired up with that new companion.
Also at these events, we have feline related merchandise on sale such as, litter trays, cat carriers, feeding bowls etc. so you have a one-stop shop for that new bundle of fur and fun.
The venues and dates of the Open Days are printed in the local press and posted on the various notice boards around the city. Details are also available on our scrolling news and events to the right of this page.
